What should I do?
What is the adjustment to the guarantee deposit?
In accordance with the 8 and 9 articles of the electric contract that our subscribers sign when requesting a meter:
Deposit of Guarantee:
To guarantee the payment of the service, â € œTHE COMPANYâ € will require its new subscribers a deposit in guarantee equivalent to a monthly invoice, according to the rate in force according to its category. This deposit will be returned to the â € œABONADOâ €, in case you renounce the service and are up to date with your obligations for the electric service. While there is no real consumption, â € œTHE COMPANYâ € will initially charge a provisional guarantee deposit, based on the consumption estimation table according to charges detailed below:
ESTIMATION OF CONSUMPTION ACCORDING TO LOAD
|Connected Load (Watts)||Estimated monthly consumption (kWh)|
|Between 0 and 12.000 Declared||2.5% of declared load|
|Greater than 12.000 Declared||2.5% for the first 12.000 watts, plus 20 kWh for each 1000 watts of connected load|
Frequently Asked Questions about Electric vehicles
How do you charge the batteries of electric vehicles, can they be recharged several times during the day without affecting them?
These batteries are charged through the electrical network and can be recharged in the houses themselves. There are different types of batteries and it is a technology that is rapidly modernized, which allows a greater displacement, less size, less weight and lower cost. For example, one of the characteristics of lithium batteries, is that they lack memory effect, so that charges can be made even when the battery is not fully discharged.
What is fast charging, slow charging and electric stations. Where can I recharge?
There are different types of load depending on the user's need to load. A slow charge is made by a single-phase alternating tap, similar to the domestic socket (normally 230V and 15A ,; for a vehicle of 25 kWh: 7 hours of loading). If a recharge is needed in short periods of time, it will be done through a three-phase alternate socket (usually 400V and 63A, for a vehicle of 25 kWh: 1load). Currently there is a third type of load, which is done through direct current (usually to 400V and 600A, for a vehicle of 25 kWh: 6 minutes). The Electrolineras are the infrastructure required for fast recharging of electric vehicles in Costa Rica. The CNFL plans to install a network of "electrolineras" for fast loading in public spaces of San José according to the demand of this service.
When is it efficient to recharge an electric vehicle?
The CNFL recommends using the Residential Time Rate and recharging overnight at home. This allows the required electricity to be cheaper and the electrical system to be more efficient by minimizing the impact on the electricity grid, since the electricity demand decreases considerably. If it is necessary to recharge during the day, you should try not to load the vehicles at peak times (from 12: 00h to 14: 00h and from 18: 00h to 20: 00h) where the energy demand "shoots up" and is of higher cost.
What autonomy does this type of vehicle have?
The range of travel of vehicles that are currently on the market, is among the 80-110 km of autonomy. The vehicles that are scheduled to start commercializing in mid-late 2013 have autonomies between 160-200 km.
Can you replace an electric vehicle with a combustion vehicle?
In most cases it is possible, the replacement of the conventional vehicle with the electric one will not be any inconvenience because the average distance of the private vehicles is 31 Kms. Of daily displacement in the GAM. A large percentage of society travels daily from short distances (trips to work centers, supermarkets, study centers). It is only a change of mentality and to replace the fact of going to the "gas station" by plugging in the vehicle at night when arriving at the house. Only in very specific situations the vehicle is used to make long distance journeys, in which case there are other alternatives (hire rented vehicles, for example) and, in due course, the public electric vehicle recharging network will be expanded as in other markets.
What are the differences between electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles?
Electric vehicles are those whose only source comes from batteries that are driven solely by the electric motor instead of the traditional internal combustion engine. They use electrical energy supplied by rechargeable batteries that send the developed power to the motor through a controller. On the other hand, hybrid vehicles can be driven to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the type of hybrid that is, by the electric motor or the thermal engine, for which it requires traditional fuels with negative implications for the environment.
How many means of electric transport are there now?
Within the diversity of technologies, there are some types of electric transport such as boats, airplanes and land vehicles such as motorcycles, tricycles, bicycles, support for people with reduced mobility, such as electric wheelchairs, golf carts and one-person vehicles, there are also Massive electric transport (train, metro, tram or trolleybus).
Are electric vehicles more expensive?
Currently, using electric vehicles implies an initial investment higher than that of conventional vehicles and many governments strategically and integrally encourage the use of vehicles in different countries to accelerate industrial development within the framework of the new ecological requirement, to create new jobs and to support the purchase of cleaner cars with lower polluting emissions, they also support research on new technologies and spreading innovation. Operating and maintenance costs are significantly lower in electric vehicles, which is a significant advantage over internal combustion technology. Electric vehicles have no maintenance costs for oils, or other lubricants, less filters, less brake wear and absence of mechanical transmissions among other maintenance benefits.
