Change of Service from Provisional to Definitive

Profile of the Procedure (Associated with Law 8220) and Gazette No. 157, August 18, 2014.

1. General Aspects.

Description of the procedure:

It is provided to clients who have completed their process of construction, remodeling or expansion of real estate such as residences, commercial and industrial buildings, apartments, among others and who need to switch to a definitive service once the work is completed. It will be provided to all the inhabitants of Costa Rica within the CNFL concession area from a single network delivery point and through a single meter.

Other provisions:

- Electrical Code of Costa Rica for the Safety of Life and Property.

- Table of Annual Depreciation Percentages of the General Directorate of Direct Taxation, of the Ministry of Finance.

- Term of resolution: 8 business days once the technical requirements have been met.

- Cost of the procedure: It is calculated according to the tariff defined by the ARESEP

3. Administrative Requirements

General requirements.

For natural person:

- Original identity card for nationals, in case of being foreigners they must present documents that prove their permanence in the country, either: residence card, temporary residence permit, refugee card, pensioned resident card or rentier resident card, territorial asylee card.

- Copy of identity card and authenticated authorization letter and / or special, general or general power of attorney for the person who presents to process (in case the service subscriber is not the one who presents to carry out the process or if he is a representative of the company).

For legal entity:

- Original legal status (no more than one month after it was issued).

- Original identity card of legal representative, in case of being foreigners they must present documents that prove their stay in the country, either: residence card, temporary residence permit, refugee card, pensioned resident card or rentier resident card, territorial asylee card.

- Copy of identity card and authenticated authorization letter and / or special, general or general power of attorney for the person who presents to process (in case the service subscriber is not the one who presents to carry out the process or if he is a representative of the company).

3.2 Specific Requirements.

- Documentation that evidences being the registered owner of the property, written authorization of the owner or demonstrating possession management.

- Provide a NISE number (Service Identification Number).

- Provide original document of "Receipt Certificate" issued by the same entity, referring to the presentation of the electrical plans.

3.3 References:

- Telephone number, exact address by province, canton and district, email.

- Cancel the guarantee deposit approved by the Regulatory Authority of Public Services corresponding to the requested service, it is made when it is attended at the window.
